About the conference

Two European integration platforms, one event

This special edition of the EU Enlargement Conference brings together the annual conference of the Bureau for European Integration (2nd edition) and the European Integration Forum (12th edition). The 2026 Enlargement Package, published by the European Commission, provides the reference framework: how negotiating milestones become reforms citizens can recognise in the courts, in local services, in energy bills and in the quality of public administration.

Accession is not delivered by the executive alone. Government, Parliament, civil society, business, trade unions and the media each carry part of the process.

The conference is organised by the Bureau for European Integration, the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE) and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, in partnership with the Committee on European Integration of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, the Foreign Policy Association (APE) and the World Justice Project, and with the support of Soros Foundation Moldova, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Moldova, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the German Federal Foreign Office.
